![]() This place must have been searched but either way, I know there is still some good stuff because after 2 hours of nothing I decided to go back to the place I found the buckle part and do a deep search. ![]() ![]() I spent 2-3 hours here today and I was not finding anything. First cool find of 2020.I guess all my good posts are "firsts" because I am a newbīack on the same property I searched in this thread: And my first civil war (anything ) button. So second outing gives up 7 more Wheaties, my first V & war nickel fty and a 1919 D Merc. After a little clean up I thought the button to be WW2 but a little research shows it to be a union navy civil war button. My first V of the year, pretty toasted and did not see what it was till clean up. I think who the heck would put a chicken on a button ? KFC ? One more 12-13 in the dark was another nickel. Thinking I haven't dug any clad I decide to dig, now all I have is the led light on the pinpointer and about 6in.down I see a small disc the size of a dime, wipe it off to see its a button, another wipe and it looks like a chicken on it. Swinging my way back to the truck a deep 21-22 gets my attention, maybe zincoln, Ihp. Getting dark I got a solid 12-13 and out comes a war nickel from about 3in. The next high tone was also a deeper wheatie. The next signal was a high tone wheat and shortly after got a 25-26 and about 5 in down was a worn Merc that showed herself on the reveal as I flipped the plug. The next place gave up a few more Wheaties and a large reed. After 2 hrs all I had to show was 5 Memorials and 2 clad dimes and I did manage 1 deep wheatie. Signals getting scarce, I'm starting to think I picked this place pretty clean. Was able to get out for a few hours this afternoon and headed back to where I got my first 2 silvers on Sat.
